Pulka and Ski tour in Jämtland, Sweden (19-29.03.2005)

.....it has been some time since we all met up at the north cape (Gabriel, Martin, Felix and I) on our individual cycle tour through Europe in 2003. It was time to meet up again and so I flew up to Sweden to meet the guys. We decided to meet in Östersund. From there we took a train towards the Norwegian border and then started our 9 day ski tour. Unfortunately Martin could not make it due to a knee injury and so it was just the three of us.

so off we went.... and spent 9 wonderful days skitouring the Swedish/ Norwegian border area! We experienced a lot... spent 2 days in a snowstorm, skiing down slopes, crossed a mountain pass in heavy mist using the GPS, viewing the polar light from our snow-hole, building an igloo 'the real way' according to Gabriels great igloo building know-how, spending nights with heavy wind in our tent but we also enjoying a Swedish mountain hut sauna etc! We had great fun and it certainly was a trip to remember! We will be back in Scandinavia on a longer ski tour sometime in the future! (we already have some plans...)
